I don’t believe that vaccines cause autism. The scientific community has shown that there is no credible evidence that supports that conclusion (the original paper that stated vaccines cause autism was retracted). However, I wonder if the number of autism cases per capita is larger than the reduction in deaths due to vaccines. Cars cause deaths but we tolerate them because the benefits far outweigh the costs. Maybe we need to pack up the science and bring out the cost benefit analysis for the anti-vaccine brigade?

India’s Taiwan should be Dubai.

I’ve been saying this for a while…Dubai needs to market itself as a gateway to India, just as Singapore markets itself as a gateway to China.

There are many reasons why Dubai is the ideal gateway (no particular order):

Tons of Indians who still have a deep connection to India. We are still citizens!

Barely any taxes

Ease of business setup

A world class port

Extremely strong trading partnership. I am pretty sure the UAE is India’s LARGEST trading partner. I mean this is a country of 5 million people!

Indians form the largest business community in the UAE. According to the Indian Consulate over half the businesses started in the UAE are started by Indians.

I could go on and on….
